She raised nine children. Betty, Ralph, Dorothy, Mary, Harold, Stanley, Margaret, Edith, Helen.

She would have been my dad's (Harold Wright) mother.

Hay Barn - damage from Hurricane Ike

At the time of Hurricane Ike I was living on Baker Road in Somerville.  There was really not much warning that I remember about the damaging winds that were to come.  But did they ever come.  I didn't get much damage at my house.  Emily and I drove to the farm and we were trying to buckle down the barn doors.  The winds just got to strong and we had to leave.  Metal from the barn was blowing off and we were afraid we were going to get hurt.  Most the electric in our area was off for almost a week.  Cell phones didn't work.  It was interesting.

Luke since that time has repaired the barn (summer 2011).

My Dad's - John Deere

Below is a picture of the John Deere my dad, Harold Wright,  bought new in the mid 1960's.  He loved that tractor.  He especially loved to put the grandkids  in the scoop and lift them up.  I never knew what happened to it.  One day it just disappeared.

Finished Product

A big thanks to Luke for getting this room done.  We completely gutted it, put new electric in (thanks to Russell Wright), new insulation, new windows, stripped the floors and new paint and replaced with new trim to match existing upstairs.  It turned out great.  I am so excited.  It is beautiful.  Thanks to all the sub contractors.
Luke Thacker - drywall, insulation, windows, electric
Gwen Thacker - demolition, floors
Leslie Herbst - paint
Dusty Taggart - electric
