At the time of Hurricane Ike I was living on Baker Road in Somerville. There was really not much warning that I remember about the damaging winds that were to come. But did they ever come. I didn't get much damage at my house. Emily and I drove to the farm and we were trying to buckle down the barn doors. The winds just got to strong and we had to leave. Metal from the barn was blowing off and we were afraid we were going to get hurt. Most the electric in our area was off for almost a week. Cell phones didn't work. It was interesting. Luke since that time has repaired the barn (summer 2011).
